Description of the PrivacyBox
The PrivacyBox provides primarily for journalists, bloggers and other publishers the possibility to offer non-tracked (and also anonymous) contact forms. But it is open for other interested people too. This service is provided by the German Privacy Foundation e.V.Please have a look at this description bevor sign up.
1.1: Send messages
Composing of messages is only possible through the web-interface. In order to send a message, you need the receiver's pseudonym. We don't offer informations about our users.| https://privacybox.de/pseudonym.msg | |
| https://privacybox.de/pseudonym.mobi | (for mobile phone) |
| http://c4wcxidkfhvmzhw6.onion/pseudonym.msg | (Tor hidden service) |
| http://privacybox.i2p/pseudonym.msg | (Invisible Internet Project) |
Your message will be stored or forwarded without any information about the real sender. It will be encrypted, if the recipient provides a public key for encryption.
Because the non-encrypted message header doesn't contain any information about the sender, we would like to please the sender to enter a contact posibility in your message if an answer was expected. Only the receiver may decrypt and read this text.
The inbox is NOT available through the email address "pseudonym (at) privacybox.de"! We do not offer a Typ-I-Remailer like anon.penet.fi.
1.2: Receive messages
Interested people have to sign up for a new account. After account creation you have to login and edit your settings for message encryption and forwarding. The URLs of your contact pages you will find there too. A sample contact form is aviable here -».The distribution of the URL of your own contact form has to be done by yourself. You can read incoming messages in the following ways:
- simple way: Incomimg messages may be forwarded to an external email account.
- more privat: Incomimg messages may be saved at the PrivacyBox. You can access saved messages with your email client. Configuration settings you may find here -».
- I2P Susimail: If you were using I2P Susimail, you can forward incoming messages to your Susimail Account.
Because you will recieve all messages without any verified informations about the sender, please be carefully, if you got an attachement!
3: Write an answer
Do NOT use the "Reply" button of your email client to write an answer. The non-encrypted message header doesn't contain any information about the real sender, the reply message can't go to the real sender. The PrivacyBox is a one way ticket. Please use the contact posibility written inside the message! To answer anonymously you may use remailers.
